About this part
Tylaska’s LT80 snap shackle is identical in size to Tylaska’s T8 Snap Shackle. Designed to be easily released one handed even under load, while also being extremely resistant to accidental release from flogging, vibration, or shock loads. Smooth flowing curves minimized the risk of fouling or snagging on other rigging or sails.
Tylaska has taken the venerable, tested, and optimized T8 Trigger Snap Shackle design and reformatted it into an ultra-lightweight delrin model called the LT80 Light Air Snap Shackle. As the name suggests, this shackle was designed to be used on your spinnaker sheets on very light wind days, when getting every ounce out of your light air setup helps keep your spinnaker full and ghosting you along. Also perfect for anywhere you need a light weight, non-marking, quick release connection such as fenders, boom tents, sail lockers, or even dog leashes.
Not for human suspension , Not for lifting
